Leaf: Monstera

This pattern is beginner-friendly and suitable for crocheters who are new to shaping and wired crochet projects.

Using fingering weight yarn (14 WPI) with a 2.0 mm hook, the finished leaf measures approximately 18–20 cm, depending on your tension. Changing the yarn weight or hook size will also change the final size of the project.

Please note that this project requires a fairly large amount of wire. Two types of wire are used:

thinner wire for shaping and supporting the leaf sections
thicker wire for creating the stem

Color options are flexible — you can make the leaf in a solid color, use gradient yarn, or combine multiple shades for a unique look.
